Europe’s leading sports and leisure resort, La Manga Club, renowned for its golf courses and its professional football and tennis training facilities, chose bluesky to take them through a major rebranding exercise.
Since the 70s, the Spanish resort has enjoyed a long and illustrious history as the playground of the rich and famous in the sporting and celebrity world. But 40 years on, it was unable to rely on past reputation alone. It needed a new approach to appeal to a younger audience, and to compete with up and coming golf and leisure resorts cropping up all over Europe.
The extent and complexity of such a task was vast. The resort itself spans 1400 acres (that’s three times the size of Monaco) so just the on-site implementation required a military-style exercise. Both online and offline, no stone was left unturned, including website, national and international advertising, direct mail, event promotions and all collateral — even the resort buses got a revamp!
