When you meet someone like Fran, the Manager at local independent charity Suffolk Axis, you understand what the word ‘charity’ truly means. Fran consistently dedicates way over and above the hours she is contracted to work week in, week out, volunteering her time because she cares passionately about the people who benefit from the support they provide at Suffolk Axis.
We met Fran via our local community ‘Next Door’ online network. It’s been a great way for local people to stay in touch and support each other, especially through the pandemic. We saw Fran’s open plea for support and wanted to help.
As an independent charity Suffolk Axis relies completely on donations and volunteers to keep it functioning. They’ve become a valuable part of the lives of the local people they support, namely older people, including adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities. They provide warm friendship, fun and educational daily activities, outings and respite for local people that need it most.
An independent brand audit showed they needed some strategic redirection and creative TLC. Enter team bluesky. We’ve given Suffolk Axis a fresh new look that much more accurately reflects their spirit, friendliness and sense of fun. It shakes off their former ‘corporate’ feel, replacing it with one that’s uplifting and colourful, underpinned with words that reinforce the brand ‘axis’ and confirm what they are: accessible, xtraordinary (yep, deliberate typo there — well how many words do you know that being with an ‘x’?), inclusive and social.
We’ve furnished them with a full suite of collateral, stationery, social media graphics templates and designs for a quick website reskin, and they’re looking and feeling like a million dollars! Let’s hope the donations come flooding in.
