Titled Kitchen Ideas, Bathroom Ideas and Bedroom Ideas with 148pp, 104pp and 76pp respectively, the brochures mark a distinct change of look and direction for the DIY giant’s well-established category.
Bluesky’s product knowledge coupled with their understanding of current trends and customers’ shopping behaviour in this sector made easy work of the brochure trio – and all in record time.
Donna Brown, Creative Director says the whole team is chuffed with the result;
“We’ve been working with B&Q brochure projects, and in particular KBB, pretty much since we founded bluesky 15 years ago.
We’ve been involved in many step changes over the years but this latest redesign focuses much more on the customers’ ‘research and browsing’ stage where they need inspiring and informing in small bite-sized chunks. Even the format, which is square, helps it take on a funkier feel and there has been a deliberate move to reduce technical content. The design team has loved working on them as there has been a lot more creative freedom.”
The bluesky team provides a full brochure service from concepts to print including research and project management, pagination planning, design development, artwork production, copywriting, CGIs and photography as well as digital interactive versions for tablet and mobile.
