Located in an exceptional setting in southern Spain, blessed by a year-round Mediterranean climate and covering an area of some 1400 acres, La Manga Club is truly a sports and leisure paradise. With 3 golf courses, 28 tennis courts, 8 football pitches, a 5 star hotel, holiday apartments, meeting facilities, a luxury Spa complex and over 20 restaurants and bars, it plays host to some of the world’s leading footballers, tennis players, golfers, athletes and celebrities and has been their training and relaxation destination of choice for almost 40 years.

First launched in 1972, La Manga Club was given a face-lift 12 years on in 1984. Now, 26 years later, our new 2010 design represents a remodelling and modernisation of the iconic brand, built around the familiar palm tree motif. Donna Brown, bluesky co-owner and Project Director on the account explains the rationale behind the development;

“Through decades of televised events and press coverage, the 1984 logo achieved a huge amount of exposure, making La Manga Club the best known resort of its kind, especially in golf and tennis circles. We felt it was important to retain the long-standing heritage of the brand whilst injecting a new lease of life into it.

Underpinning the new-look we’ve introduced ‘Love Life’ – a set of values and a vehicle that encapsulates the passion and energy of La Manga Club perfectly. Watch out for a whole host of exciting developments under this new banner!”

Like many new bluesky clients, Macu Hernandez, La Manga Club’s Director of Sales & Marketing was first introduced to us via recommendation by another happy client,

“It has been a pleasure working with bluesky on our rebrand and new website. Right from the very first presentations, their work has been highly professional, creative yet also based on our and our customers’ real needs. Plenty of insight, quick to respond, committed to getting it right, very accommodating to all our requirements and extremely easy to work with”.

See our new website design at www.lamangaclub.com. Programming and content management of the site was handled in-house at La Manga Club. The project also involved a review of all branded comms including advertising, brochures, signage, on-site collateral and merchandise.
