In terms of a proposition, Graham the bathroom experts have it all: 23 fantastic bathroom showrooms across the UK, and showroom consultants that know their stuff. However, they also have a dilemma: their 23 beautifully appointed showrooms are adjacent to Graham the Plumber’s Merchant trade counters; in places where the general, bathroom-buying public are not likely to venture too often.
With visibility being key to promoting Graham’s bathrooms showrooms and the expertise that staff offer, from planning through to help with installation, some bluesky creative thinking was in order.
So, with the task of increasing footfall for Graham’s showrooms, we decided that we should first bring the showroom to the customer in the form of a brand, spanking new website with micro-sites for each individual showroom. A Google Virtual Tour of each showroom allows visitors to take a ‘walk’ around before a visit and they can also ‘meet the team’.
Visitors to the website can get inspiration from a product gallery, browse products by category and fill in an online lifestyle questionnaire to help Graham’s consultants to get an idea of their preferences. Finding a plumber is easy with a simple postcode search on Graham’s top trade customers and, in the ‘do you have a bathroom problem?’ section visitors to the site can view some before/after bathroom examples… as the site’s regularly updated, we’re sure there’ll be some avocado in there sooner or later!
We know that, when buying a bathroom, most people do their research online; we therefore wanted Graham to have a great online presence and website functionality that would encourage people to drop in to their nearest showroom for some advice and to see a huge range of bathrooms, showers, taps, furniture, tiles and accessories from many well-known brands, in room settings. By choosing a new domain name for the website, we also highlight the expertise that Graham offer – take a look: www.askgraham.co.uk.
Having undertaken a good deal of search engine optimisation on the site, we’re confident that ranking on key terms will carry on improving and visibility will be a challenge no longer. And, with further marketing and publicity of the site planned, we’re sure it’ll now be easier for people to ‘see’ their perfect bathroom.
